Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced the formation of the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution during a cabinet meeting on Thursday to discuss the Palestinian issue and peace efforts. The meeting was with the 79th United Nations General Assembly’s High-Level Week in New York.
Prince Faisal stated, “Today, on behalf of Arab and Islamic nations, as well as our European colleagues, we announce the formation of the ‘International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution,’ and encourage you to participate in this endeavour. We are dedicated to making every effort to develop a reliable and irreversible route to a just and comprehensive peace. We look forward to hearing your contributions to resolving this conflict.
“Self-defence cannot justify the killing of tens of thousands of civilians, systematic destruction, forced displacement, and the use of starvation as a weapon of war,” said the Foreign Minister, who also condemned incitement, dehumanisation, and systematic torture, including sexual violence, as documented by United Nations reports.
