Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, made a state visit to the United Arab Emirates on Monday. Upon his arrival at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the delegation.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his brother, Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq, casually talked during a brief break in the VIP area, highlighting the close bonds between their two nations. The UAE military planes welcomed the country’s guests as the aircraft carrying His Majesty the Sultan of Oman entered UAE airspace. The squadron commander requested permission from His Majesty to accompany the jet to the airport, extending a warm welcome to the man in his second home, the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Leader of the honorary delegation welcoming the foreign dignitary, were also in attendance at the reception. Other notable figures in the UAE included H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, the Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, as well as several senior officials.
