The French President hosts an Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee to Discuss the Gaza Crisis.

On Friday, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed members of a ministerial committee formed by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan chaired the committee. It included key figures such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Ayman Al-Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, and Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry.

They condemned the obstruction of essential humanitarian and relief aid into the Strip, urging global leaders to respond to these critical issues.

The meeting focused on the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israel’s ongoing aggression. The discussions focused on the critical need for an immediate and complete ceasefire to protect civilians and ensure the continued delivery of humanitarian aid throughout the region.The Ministerial Committee emphasised the importance of establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian State based on the June 4, 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital. They emphasized the importance of international recognition of the Palestinian State, particularly by permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, in ensuring the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights and facilitating a comprehensive and just peace.
