The mayor opens the Riyadh Infrastructure Exhibition and Summit

The Saudi Infrastructure Summit and Exhibition got underway in Riyadh on Tuesday. Prince Faisal bin Ayyaf, the mayor of the Riyadh Region and head of the board of directors of the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Centre (RIPC), gave the opening remarks. A number of ministers and officials from Saudi Arabia and overseas were present.

As per the mayor’s inauguration statement, the Saudi Infrastructure Summit and Exhibition intends to improve cooperation and endeavours towards urban growth and sustainable development by sharing experiences with those who have succeeded.

Prince Faisal emphasised that the Kingdom has an extensive labour system aimed at supporting urban areas and the people who live there, striving for their advancement and development in accordance with the goals of the astute leadership.

He also emphasised the unparalleled backing the infrastructure industry gets from Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, as well as Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. He declared, “We are tackling the challenges of the next phase with high determination and lofty ambitions to transform Riyadh into one of the most sustainable cities in the world.”

Speaking at the event, Eng. Al-Baddah, Chief Executive of RIPC, stated that the summit helps to shape an ambitious vision for the infrastructure of the future. He observed that the astute leadership gave infrastructure development and initiatives in keeping with the Saudi Vision 2030 a lot of attention.
