There are 52 Regional Saudi languages That King Salman Academy will Record

According to the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, 52 regional dialects from different parts of Saudi Arabia will be documented in the first phase of the “Aswat Blog” project. The data may eventually be integrated into artificial intelligence applications.

The blog is still under construction and testing, and its tools are still being worked on. The academy claims that the blog will help preserve Saudi dialects because the project’s effects could include data integration into AI applications like voice recognition and real-time translation, which would improve comprehension of everyday dialects and facilitate communication. Researchers will have access to a comprehensive audio database that will enable them to examine dialect change and the effects of social and economic factors.

According to the academy, the blog maintains the richness of the Saudi dialect and provides academics with a range of analytical tools, including a list of popular collocations, a sound map, and a voice detector. Additionally, it has a publically accessible method for improving the blog and confirming dialects.

It is notable because the blog covers various subjects, such as quotations, places, meals, festivals, customs and traditions, and visual storytelling.

The school owns thirteen blogs. Through the technological platform Falak Language Blogs, which consists of 13 language blogs under the academy’s supervision, linguistic experts and data scientists may investigate linguistic phenomena and create artificial intelligence applications related to Arabic.
