The airline, Riyadh Air, said that it has inked a five-year contract to utilize GE Aerospace’s flight operations software on Monday.
According to a release, the alliance would provide data-driven analytics to the newly established Saudi airline, enabling it to minimize fuel use, strengthen safety protocols, and support its environmental objectives.
It further stated that Riyadh Air would be able to establish itself as a pioneer in environmentally friendly flying thanks to the Fuel Insight software.
In order to maintain the highest levels of safety and quality throughout its cutting-edge fleet, the airline will also employ real-time Flight Data Monitoring and Flight Operations Quality Assurance.
Pilots at Riyadh Air will be able to spot areas for improvement and contribute to upholding best practices in efficiency and safety across the airline’s flight operations thanks to the usage of FlightPulse technology.
According to Peter Bellew, the chief operational officer of Riyadh Air, “Our operations are centered around sustainability and efficiency.”
“We are currently preparing for flight trials and working towards obtaining AOC certification, starting (in) September 2024. Our collaboration with GE Aerospace represents a significant advancement in adopting state-of-the-art technology to enhance safety protocols, streamline fuel usage, and uphold our dedication to operational excellence.”
