TEHRAN: US President Donald Trump is prepared to “unleash hell” if Iran does not accept a deal to end the Middle East conflict, the White House threatened Wednesday, adding that discussions are still ongoing despite Tehran allegedly rejecting a proposed US peace proposal.
The escalated language crushed hopes for an impending de-escalation, as the bloodshed on the ground showed little signs of abating after nearly four weeks. If Iran fails to accept the reality of the current moment… Trump will ensure they are hit harder than they have ever been hit before,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a recent briefing.
President Trump does not bluff, and he is ready to unleash hell. “Iran should not miscalculate again,” she warned, adding that talks are ongoing. Pakistani officials previously stated that Islamabad had delivered to Tehran an American 15-point plan to end the hostilities, which began on February 28 with US-Israeli attacks on Iran and has now swept the area.
Iran’s state media quoted an unidentified official as saying Tehran had “reacted negatively” to the plan and that the war would only end on Tehran’s terms. The end of the war will occur when Iran decides it should end, not when Trump envisions its conclusion,” the Iranian official stated, according to English-language broadcaster Press TV, in a report picked up by Iran’s major news agencies.
