With Eight New Cooperation Agreements, The UAE and India Deepen Their Relationship

MUMBAI: On Thursday, the United Arab Emirates and India inked eight Memorandums of Understanding across a wide range of industries, including higher education, healthcare, infrastructure, logistics, and maritime services. At a ceremony hosted by Dubai Chambers in Mumbai, Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and Dubai’s crown prince and defense minister, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, observed the signing.

The two countries are “bound by a deep-rooted friendship and a shared dedication to shaping the future through innovation, opportunity, and sustainable growth,” according to Sheikh Hamdan, who is in India for the first time. He went on to say that they “continue to build on a strong foundation of trust and collaboration,” under the direction of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

In keeping with our shared goal to building resilient economies, empowering communities, and promoting knowledge, technology, and human development, these Memorandums of Understanding expand and strengthen our strategic cooperation. We are working together to develop a model of global collaboration that benefits the citizens of our two nations in the long run and has a significant impact,” Sheikh Hamdan added.
