RIYADH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s new Arabic calligraphy center formally launched in Madinah on Monday. The governor of the Madinah region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, opened the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy.
Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Culture Minister, accompanied him on a tour of the new facility’s exhibition areas and gave him updates on the center’s accomplishments and cultural programs. They also looked at collections that emphasized the artistic and historical significance of Arabic calligraphy.
“From this land of enlightenment and scholarship, we proudly launch a global platform dedicated to Arabic calligraphy as an invaluable cultural asset,” Prince Badr declared during the inaugural ceremony. He continued by praising the cultural sector for the crown prince’s “generous and boundless support.”
According to the minister, the center highlighted Saudi Arabia’s dedication to preserving its cultural identity and tradition while showcasing to the world the legacy of Arabic calligraphy. Prince Badr claims that the facility has an ambitious ambition to elevate Arabic calligraphy as an essential component of Arab heritage, art, architecture, and design as well as a universal communication tool.
