13,763 Automobile Phone Holder Recalls due to Risk of Harm or Death

13,763 magnetic car phone holders are being recalled by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce due to grave concerns about their potential to affect airbag deployment.

The ministry issued a warning in a statement on Friday over the possibility that these phone holders, which were intended to be installed in the middle of the steering wheel, could interfere with the operation of the airbags in cars.

According to the government, there is a chance that the phone holders could be thrown toward the passenger in the case of an airbag deployment, seriously injuring or killing them.

Numerous magnetic phone holder versions offered by different Kingdom merchants were impacted by the recall. It is recommended that customers who have already purchased these products stop using them right once and ask for return and refund guidelines.

The ministry stated that in order to guarantee that all recalled products are taken off the market, it is keeping an eye on the issue and collaborating with manufacturers.

Customers can check at Recalls.sa, the website of the Defective Product Recall Center, to see if their product is included in the order.
