The Saudi Press Agency said on Friday that Bandar AlKhorayef, the Kingdom’s minister of industry and mineral resources, has wrapped up his visit to Chile, where he met with top executives from the public and commercial sectors to discuss fostering collaboration.
The SPA said that talks were place about mutual investment potential in the production and processing of minerals, including iron ore, copper, and lithium, as well as information transfer and the newest cutting-edge mining technology.
AlKhorayef concentrated on collaboration in industries with significant export and import potential, such as chemicals, auto components, and electronics, during a meeting with Chile’s Mining Minister Aurora Williams.
The minister received an invitation from AlKhorayef to take part in the International Mining Conference’s ministerial roundtable in Riyadh in January.
AlKhorayef spoke with Mario Marcel, the Finance Minister of Chile, about methods to improve trade and the Kingdom’s efforts to become a leader in the electric vehicle sector.
They went over the mining strategy for the Kingdom as well as the sectors and goals of the National Industrial Strategy.
