The priorities of Saudi foreign policy and the role of the missions in accomplishing the Kingdom’s strategic objectives were the topics of Sunday’s fifth general meeting of the heads of Saudi missions overseas.
King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, sponsored the gathering, which was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and attended by Prince Faisal bin Farhan. “The new Saudi diplomacy: constants and developments in light of Vision 2030” was the theme of the meeting, which covered how Saudi missions may help achieve the objectives of Vision 2030. Discussions also included the administrative, financial, and digital tasks that help missions increase productivity.
Participants included Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah; Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism; Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment; Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning; Salman Al-Dossary, Minister of Media; Dr. Hala bint Mazid Al-Tuwaijri, President of the Human Rights Commission; Dr. Fahd Tunisi, Advisor to the Royal Court; and Badr Al-Qadi, Deputy Minister of Sports.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed Al-Kheraiji, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Executive Affairs Abdulhadi Al-Mansouri, and several other high-ranking Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials also attended the meeting.
