The Hajj and Umrah Conference Attracts More Than 150,000 Visitors

JEDDAH: The fourth Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition, entitled “A Passage to Nusuk,” concluded on Thursday in Jeddah. The event was organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in partnership with the Pilgrim Experience Program, which is an essential component of Saudi Vision 2030. According to the organisers, over 150,000 people attended the event over four days, including participants from over 100 nations.

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, spoke during the concluding ceremony. The conference was described as “a qualitative leap in providing innovative solutions to serve the guests of Allah.” He stated that more than 320 agreements to serve pilgrims were made at the conference, demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing all Hajj services. “These agreements contribute to facilitating procedures and improving the overall experience of pilgrims,” Al-Rabiah told reporters.

The minister also announced that the conference’s next edition will take place in November.
According to the organisers, almost 2,000 trainees attended 56 seminars on Hajj-related specialisations at the conference, which also featured innovative innovations aimed at boosting pilgrims’ experiences.

To encourage such creativity, the conference hosted the Sustainable Solutions Challenge and the Humanising the Holy Sites Hackathon, in which over 1,000 individuals competed to showcase new solutions to improve pilgrims’ experiences. Visitors of all nationalities visited the expo, and those who spoke with Arab News praised the occasion.
