RIYADH: Rahimberdi Jepbarov, chairman of the Turkmenistan State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, and Sultan Al-Marshad, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, inked a development credit deal for $80 million. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the funding goes toward a project that would create cancer treatment facilities and enhance tumor treatment services in Turkmenistan. Said Osman Suwaid, the ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan, was present.
By constructing and outfitting three specialist cancer treatment facilities with up to 500 medical beds in various locations, the initiative will improve healthcare. According to SPA, the facilities will have cutting-edge medical technology to enhance the standard of treatment.
The deal demonstrates the Saudi fund’s dedication to helping poor nations get beyond barriers to development. According to SPA, it emphasizes how crucial international collaboration is to attaining sustainable development and guaranteeing long-term prosperity.
Al-Marshad also met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers on his trip to Turkmenistan to talk about enhancing development cooperation across several areas.
