RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan have signed a memorandum of understanding to speed up information exchange and non-oil exports.
The Saudi Export Development Authority and the Export service of Tajikistan signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during an event that decided to create a bilateral business council between the two nations, according to the Kingdom’s press service.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tajikistan and the Federation of Saudi Chambers came to that agreement, which would witness the development of trade and investment ties.
As the Kingdom embarks on an economic diversification path by decreasing its reliance on crude earnings, bolstering non-oil exports and fostering international commerce are important objectives highlighted in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program.
The Saudi-Tajik Business Council is anticipated to provide a forum for the private sector communities in Tajikistan and the Kingdom to network, exhibit their endeavors, and cultivate business alliances.
In addition, the council will seek to establish new avenues for economic cooperation, promote ongoing communication between the two nations’ business sectors, and share market intelligence.
