Dubai Duty Free Draw: Two Indian Nationals Become New $1 Million Winners

With ticket number 1710, which he purchased online on July 31st, Rohan Prakash Fernandes, an Indian resident of Dubai who is 38 years old, succeeded in winning the lottery. Mr. Fernandes has been a resident of Dubai for the past 15 years, and he has been a consistent participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for the past ten years. The engineer is employed by a marine-based company in Dubai, where he is the sole parent of his child.

Fernandes, who is originally from Karnataka in India, revealed that the number of his winning ticket was influenced by a license plate number that he observed while selecting a number to purchase online. The fact that he believed it to be a solid combination led him to make the decision to buy the exact same number. When asked about his first plans for the winnings, he said, “I will save it for my child’s education while part of it will be invested, and some of it will go to charity.”

Suresh PS, an Indian resident of Dubai who is 36 years old, was the winner with ticket number 2122, which he got with an internet transaction on August 12th. PS participated in the Dubai Duty Free promotion with his nine Indian friends for the past seven years, and they all contributed to the cost of the ticket. PS divided the cost of the flight with his friends.

The winner, who is a father of one and hails from Kerala, is employed by a contracting company in Dubai as an expert in health, safety, and environment compliance. In response to a question about his initial intentions with the windfall, he stated, “I want to buy a house in Kerala.
