By the End of the Year, ADGM Courts will Introduce AI-Powered Services

ADGM Courts is in the process of introducing new artificial intelligence-powered services by the end of 2026, as the number of cases handled by the courts continues to increase in tandem with the expansion of Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Linda Fitz-Alan, Registrar and Chief Executive of ADGM Courts, stated at the ADGM Global Media Forum that the courts had recorded over 900 cases thus far this year and anticipated that the total would reach approximately 1,200 by the end of the year.. Fitz-Alan stated that the courts are on the brink of implementing AI-powered solutions that are intended to facilitate the judicial process, allow users to access court services more efficiently, and complete necessary documents.

Additionally, it is anticipated that the use of technology will facilitate the expediting of the review of claims and the compilation of court orders and decisions. Nevertheless, Fitz-Alan emphasised that the courts are adopting an approach to AI adoption that is both cautious and controlled due to the responsibilities that are associated with judicial decision-making.

The new services will be based on ADGM Courts’ current electronic platform, which was launched in 2018 and enables users to submit claims, pay fees, attend hearings, and receive judgements online. The platform also allows participants who are located outside of the UAE to remotely access the courts’ services.
