Colombian President Gustavo Petro and his delegation departed Riyadh on Friday after attending the Future Investment Initiative. They were warmly seen off at King Khalid International Airport by Riyadh Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman and other top officials.
During the visit, Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan signed a cultural cooperation agreement with his Colombian counterpart, Yannai Kadamani. This collaboration aims is to foster partnerships in the several cultural areas including sharing expertise on cultural systems, regulations, and policies.
Both countries will be also work together on the cultural residency programs by involving government, civil society, and nonprofit organizations. The agreement encourages mutual participation in festivals and cultural events and promotes stronger communication among cultural institutions, strengthening the ties between Saudi Arabia and Colombia. This partnership is to highlights the commitment of both nations to the deepen cultural exchange and collaboration. It also opens new avenues for creative cooperation and mutual growth in the cultural sector.
