JEDDAH: To commemorate the national days of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Consulate General of Pakistan recently arranged a combined celebration. In addition to highlighting common cultural and social values, the event was planned in cooperation with the Pakistan Investors Forum with the goal of fortifying ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The ceremony took place at a stately banquet hall in Jeddah and was attended by prominent diplomats, businesspeople, community members, and media representatives from both nations.
The national anthems of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan opened the tournament. A display of artwork highlighted the common cultural history. Noting the special bilateral relations built on strong religious, cultural, and socioeconomic linkages, Consul General Khalid Majid underlined the importance of art and culture in diplomacy. He lauded the efforts to regional peace and stability made by King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
Chairman of the Pakistan Investors Forum Shafqat Chaudhary commended Saudi Arabia’s leadership and emphasised the contribution of the Pakistani business community to the Kingdom’s development. The event culminated in a cake-cutting ceremony and featured cultural performances by Saudi and Pakistani artists.
