TOKYO: The Saudi embassy in Tokyo hosted a reception to commemorate Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day. Over 400 people attended, including diplomats, corporate executives, government officials from Japan, Saudi students, and members of the Arab and Muslim communities.
Nahomi Koyasu sang the Saudi national anthem to kick off the ceremony, and then the Japanese anthem.
“It was a day to be proud of our beautiful kingdom, its past, present, and future, and the vision of its leader who guided us to establish the firm foundations of our nation based on values of our Arab and Islamic identity, a Kingdom of peace and prosperity,” Ambassador Dr. Ghazi Binzagr said in his opening remarks, welcoming everyone.
We are now recognised as a leader in the fields of research, business, trade, and the economy. People from all over the world come to work with great pride in our many institutions, and we are a destination for those who are devoted, committed, and honest.
Binzagr added, “Yesterday, we were an oil-producing nation,” as he described his outlook for the future. We want to be a force in alternative energy and a leader in the energy sector tomorrow. Our goal is to become the East-West global logistical hub that localises industry and technology. Our mission is to steer the global community towards a responsible digital transition while guaranteeing each and every individual a good standard of living.
