RIYADH: The Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University conference centre in Riyadh will host the 15th annual National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, or Ibdaa, from February 3–6. The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, often known as Mawhiba, and the Ministry of Education are collaborating to organise the event. According to the Saudi Press Agency, 200 research and innovation initiatives from students in 22 scientific disciplines will be showcased at the olympiad.
According to the SPA, the projects were chosen from over 23,000 submissions that were received in the competition’s earlier phases. The worldwide Science and Engineering Fair in the United States is one of the regional and worldwide competitions in which sixty-eight winners will represent Saudi Arabia.
Every year, middle and high school students compete internationally in the Olympic Games in standards and technology. In South Korea, it began as a regional competition in 2006 and expanded to an international competition in 2014.
