Saudi Arabia Seeks to Boost Economic Growth by fortifying Industrial Ties With the Netherlands.

RIYADH: The Kingdom’s industry minister visited some of the top Dutch manufacturing companies, which is expected to deepen ties between the two countries in the mining and industrial sectors.

Bandar Alkhorayef met with Edwin Paalvast, the executive board member and head of international markets at Philips, during his visit to the company’s Eindhoven location. They talked about localizing this important industry within Saudi Arabia and improving cooperation in medical devices. The Saudi minister’s visit to the Netherlands aimed to strengthen ties and create partnerships between the two nations in a range of industrial endeavors.

Additionally, Alkhorayef went to FrieslandCampina, a pioneer in dairy products and their byproducts. They discussed the possibility of setting up a research and development facility in the Kingdom to improve local food processing and production quality with Marchel Gorselink, general research and development manager at FrieslandCampina.

The minister also met with Upfield CEO David Haines to talk about collaboration in consumer goods and plant-based food production. They pooled their knowledge to support environmental sustainability and goals related to food security.
