The justice ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and countries convened their 35th meeting in Kuwait with Saudi Arabia and represented by Minister of Justice Dr. Walid Al-Samaani. The session focused on the boosting legal of cooperation among member states and developing a unified Gulf of strategy to strengthen justice systems and address emerging legal challenges.
The ministers has discussed key initiatives including a draft policy for joint legal coordination between justice ministries and unified rules to combat cybercrime and hate speech. These measures aim to the enhance regional judicial integration and ensure a cohesive approach to legal governance across GCC countries.
Kuwait’s Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait who chaired the meeting, highlighted the need to build on previous decisions to reinforce cooperation and promote shared judicial progress. He stressed that justice remains a cornerstone of development and stability adding that the Gulf states’ unity and political cohesion enable continued advancement toward comprehensive judicial integration and modernization across the region.
