RIYADH Flyadeal, a Saudi airline, stated that its operations staff has been working nonstop to finish the necessary software changes for its Airbus A320 aircraft. This comes after the EU Aviation Safety Agency instructed airlines operating Airbus A320 aircraft globally to implement the adjustments on November 28. Of Flyadeal’s 43 aircraft, only 13 were affected.
“Our operations, engineering, and customer experience teams worked round the clock to minimize disruption,” the airline stated in a statement. Rebooking and assistance alternatives were sent directly to passengers via email and SMS.
As part of alternate arrangements, customers were offered replacement flights on different planes. According to the statement, “operational safety and customer protection have been our focus throughout.” The airline thanked “airport partners, regulators, and Airbus for their continued support, as well as colleagues working quickly and diligently under the challenging circumstances.
