How Targeted Car Strikes Are Being Used in Modern Warfare

BEIRUT: An Israeli strike in southern Lebanon killed one person on Monday, according to state media, marking the first recorded fatal strike since the announcement of a deal to end the Middle East war on all fronts. Enemy drone aircraft targeted a car at the Kfar Tibnit roundabout, killing the driver,” the National News Agency (NNA) reported, referring to a village near Nabatieh.

Later on Monday, the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah announced that it had stopped an Israeli force attempting to “advance” in southern Lebanon, despite the US-Iran agreement to cease the Middle East war on all fronts, including Lebanon.

According to Hezbollah, fighters from the group “using rockets and drones” halted an Israeli force consisting of an excavator and two Merkava tanks that was “advancing” in Kfar Tebnit town near the southern city of Nabatieh.

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun praised the announced US-Iran deal to end the war in the Middle East during a phone call with Tehran’s senior diplomat and foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, according to a statement from the Lebanese presidency.

The Lebanese leader expressed hope that the agreement would be a “positive step toward reducing tensions and opening the door to diplomatic solutions,” while Araghchi stressed “the importance of respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty,” according to the statement.
