In Riyadh, The Saudi FM talks with Solomon Islands Officials

RIYADH: Solomon Islands Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele and Foreign Minister Peter Shanel Agovaka were hosted in Riyadh on Sunday by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The officials discussed ways to improve and develop the Kingdom-Solomon Islands relationship in a number of areas during the meeting.

They also talked about stepping up their collaborative cooperation on a number of topics that both nations find important. On Sunday, Prince Faisal also had a separate meeting with Patricia Scotland, the secretary-general of the Commonwealth.

The officials talked about issues of shared interest and ways to improve Saudi-Commonwealth collaboration during the meeting. Additionally, they talked about stepping up their collaborative coordination on a number of topics that both nations find important.

During the meeting, the two nations struck a deal exempting holders of diplomatic, special, and official passports from the need for short-term visas. In Riyadh on Sunday, Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland is welcomed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. Both nations agreed to exempt bearers of diplomatic, special, and official passports from the criteria for short-term visas.
