Israeli Airstrike Hits Beirut Office, Says Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV

BEIRUT, Lebanon: Al-Manar TV, which is connected to the Iran-backed militant organization Hezbollah, reported on Tuesday that an Israeli strike had targeted its south Beirut office.Al-Manar said on Telegram that Israel “targets the Al-Manar Channel building in the Haret Hreik area,” which is a neighborhood in south Beirut.

According to Lebanese station MTV, the strike followed an Israeli warning late Monday that targeted the Al-Manar TV headquarters. The escalation came as the Hezbollah organization declared early on Monday that it had launched a volley of rockets and drones at a military facility in northern Israel in retaliation for continuous Israeli attacks on Lebanon and a combined US-Israeli military campaign against Iran.

The Israeli army claimed to have launched airstrikes against Hezbollah’s command headquarters and weapons storage facilities in Beirut. Since Saturday, the United States and Israel have been waging a massive onslaught on Iran, killing key military officials and Iranian authorities, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Israel has violated the ceasefire deal in Lebanon almost every day since it went into force in late November 2024, killing hundreds of people. In October 2023, Israel launched an offensive against Lebanon, which intensified into a full-scale conflict in September 2024, killing about 4,000 people and injuring almost 17,000 more.
