King Salman Welcomes 683 Pilgrims from 66 Nations to Makkah for the Hajj

683 pilgrims from 66 different nations have traveled to Makkah to complete the Hajj as guests of King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. 223 pilgrims from 15 different nations arrived in Makkah on Sunday as part of the program.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit continues to accept guests for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance in Saudi Arabia. 2,322 men and women pilgrims from over 88 countries will participate in this program, doing the Hajj as King Salman’s guests. Among them are two thousand Palestinian pilgrims, specifically one thousand pilgrims who are injured and come solely from the Gaza Strip and are the relatives of martyrs.

On Sunday, King Salman gave the order to welcome 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims who are the only relatives of injured and martyrs from the Gaza Strip. They will be able to carry out the Hajj rituals in a unique way thanks to this royal gesture, which is named “An initiative to host pilgrims from the families of martyrs and injured from the people of the Gaza Strip.” This will bring the total number of guests of the King from the State of Palestine to 2,000 pilgrims this year.

Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and General Supervisor of the Program, expressed his gratitude to King Salman, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for this kind royal gesture, stating that it represents their ongoing concern for Islam and Muslims worldwide.
