King Salman's First Group of Umrah Visitors Arrives in Madinah

MADINAH— The first group of visitors to Madinah arrived as part of the Hajj, Umrah, and Visit program run by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, oversees and administers the initiative.

Several representatives from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs greeted the Umrah pilgrims at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

The first group of visitors consists of 250 pilgrims, both male and female, including well-known Islamic leaders from 12 different nations. These royal guests include 25 pilgrims from Malaysia, both male and female.

Recently, King Salman ordered that 1,000 pilgrims from 66 different nations be hosted at his personal expense to visit the Prophet’s Mosque and conduct the Umrah rituals. This year, they will be held in four groups.

The attendees described the program as a priceless gift from Saudi Arabia that supports Islam and Muslims and thanked the Saudi government for the kind hospitality.When the first group of Umrah pilgrims arrive in Madinah, they are welcomed under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit.
