HADHRAMAUT: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered modern agricultural equipment to farmers in Yemen’s Hadhramout governorate. This effort is part of a sustainable agriculture and fisheries support project to help the local population.
The project included providing 55 different agricultural machines such as hand tillers threshing tools to separate grain from chaff and machines for spraying and cutting crops. Farmers is also participated in a training program to learn how to operate and maintain the equipment effectively. Fuel supplies were given to ensure that the machines could be used efficiently.
The goal of this project is to increase farmers’ productivity and to make agricultural work easier through modern mechanization. This includes easing plowing and harvesting processes while reducing labor and costs.
At the same time, the KSrelief Masam Project continues its efforts to clear explosives in Yemen. In the last week of October alone it dismantled 805 explosive devices, including 676 unexploded ordnance items, 102 anti-tank mines 25 anti-personnel mines and 2 other explosive devices.
