Saudi and Colombian Culture Ministers Sign Agreement to Strengthen Ties

RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and Colombia’s Minister of Culture, Arts, and Knowledge Yannai Kadamani have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement was signed during Colombian President Gustavo Petro’s visit to Saudi Arabia for the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh. The MoU focuses on several key areas to including the exchange of expertise in cultural systems policies and regulations. It also supports cooperation on cultural residency programs involving government civil society and nonprofit organizations to foster mutual of participation in cultural festivals and events.

Both countries agreed to facilitate communications between cultural institutions, host reciprocal cultural delegations and organize joint for training programs workshops and capacity-building initiatives. They also plan to stage seminars to deepen collaboration and cultural exchange.

This historic partnership reflects a shared commitment to cultural development and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for the expanding international cultural ties and regional cooperation. The agreement reiterates the growing diplomatic and cultural relations between Saudi Arabia and Colombia enhancing opportunities for mutual learning innovation and partnership in the cultural sector.
