Elon Musk wants Grok to become profitable. In a live conversation with marketers on X this week, Musk stated that they will be able to pay to show up in the Grok chatbot’s recommendations. We’ve just focused on creating Grok, the most intelligent and accurate AI in the world so far, and I believe we’ve done so to a considerable extent. Therefore, we’ll focus on how to afford those pricey GPUs,” Musk stated, as cited by The Financial Times.
Following Musk’s frequent criticism of OpenAI (and subsequent legal action against the company) for its intention to become a for-profit company, the marketing campaign was launched. Additionally, Musk’s Grok AI recently introduced a “spicy mode” that enables users to produce really obscene deepfake videos and pictures of both private people and celebrities.
It also calls into doubt the precision of the answers. Because AI relies on source information to produce correct responses, Grok’s answers may become dubious if businesses are permitted to inject themselves into them. According to him, the objective was to “break the curse of Twitter,” where users were accustomed to the service being free for years and objected when charged or when advertisements appeared on the website.
