Saudi Arabia begins Providing Lebanon with Humanitarian Supplies in a Second Round

An airlift of 27 planes carrying vital humanitarian supplies has been deployed to Lebanon by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and humanitarian Center (KSrelief).

Coordinated with Lebanese authorities, the shipments contain blankets, food, medical supplies, infant formula, personal care items, shelter materials, and winter necessities. They will be distributed to displaced families in different districts.

The second phase of KSrelief’s aid program has also begun as part of the ongoing humanitarian effort. In partnership with local community institutions and international and UN humanitarian groups, this phase concentrates on carrying out food, shelter, and health programs.

More than 1.6 million people are impacted by the crisis in Lebanon, and the project seeks to lessen their suffering.

Under the direction of the Saudi government, this endeavor demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to providing humanitarian aid globally. The goal of KSrelief’s ongoing assistance is to meet the pressing needs of the displaced and impacted people in Lebanon.

Medical care, shelter, and food security have been prioritised in previous relief operations. According to KSrelief authorities, in order to identify and prioritize aid delivery, needs assessments in a number of sectors are being conducted in Beirut and other locations in collaboration with relief organizations and Lebanon’s caretaker government. On October 13, the first relief aircraft touched down in Lebanon, and the airlift is still bringing supplies to Beirut.
