Saudi Arabia Calls on G20 Countries to Fortify the GlobE Network

Brazil’s Natal— The president of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), Mazin Al-Kahmous, called on other G20 nations to support the GlobE Network’s growth. Al-Kahmous, speaking on behalf of Saudi Arabia at the Group of Twenty’s (G20) third anti-corruption ministerial conference in Natal, Brazil, on Thursday, stressed the significance of strengthening international collaboration in order to effectively fight corruption.

Al-Kahmous praised the accomplishments of the G20 countries during its chairmanship and thanked Brazil for hosting the session. At a recent conference in Beijing, China, he complimented Brazil on the uncontested appointment of its delegate as deputy chairman of the GlobE Network Steering Committee.

He emphasised Saudi Arabia’s dedication to fighting corruption since the introduction of Vision 2030, which calls for the creation of a national anti-corruption strategy as well as aggressive international collaborations to address transnational corruption offences.

Through the creation of the GlobE Network, which today consists of 222 authorities from 123 countries, including 15 of the G20 governments, the president of Nazaha recognised the crucial role that G20 nations play in advancing a just world and guaranteeing a sustainable planet. He commended the network’s ability to improve anti-corruption agencies’ investigations, information sharing, asset recovery, and international cooperation.
