According to the state news agency SPA, Saudi Arabia wrapped up its participation in the international defense and security show Eurosatory 2024 in Paris on Friday. There, officials aimed to strengthen ties with France.
According to SPA, there was a lot of contact and a big turnout at the Saudi pavilion during the show, which opened on Monday, to see the newest innovations, products, and accomplishments in the Kingdom’s military industries sector.
The General Authority for Military Industries established the pavilion with the goal of attracting global investors interested in funding the military industries sector and the advancement of research and innovation within it.
It also examined the most significant laws, regulations, and incentives in Saudi Arabia that supported the localization and empowerment of the industry, improved supply networks and investment prospects, and emphasized the significance of coordinated efforts to realize the sector strategy for the military industries.
The governor of GAMI, Ahmed Al-Ohali, participated in a Saudi-French Day on the sidelines of Eurosatory 2024. He spoke about developing defense and industrial partnerships between Saudi Arabia and France, while Saleh Al-Aqili, the deputy governor of the authority’s empowerment sector, discussed the structure and regulations surrounding local content policy in the Kingdom.
