Saudi Arabia is participating in the inaugural Egypt International Aviation Show 2024, which got underway on Tuesday at the northern Egyptian airport of Alamein International Airport.
The three-day event was opened by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and over 300 aviation and aerospace companies from over 100 countries participated.
Senior Saudi officials attended the opening ceremony, including Brig. Gen. Abdul Karim Al-Sudais, the military attaché to Egypt, Saleh Al-Hussaini, the ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Egypt, and President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej of the General Authority of Civil Aviation. At the beginning of the opening ceremony, the attendees were given a thorough rundown of the participating aircraft, which included the Saudi F-15, the Typhoon, and the Saudi Hawks squad.
El-Sisi and other high-ranking officials conducted a tour of the smart exhibition hall. The tour included the national and international aircraft and space industry manufacturers’ pavilions and exhibits, including the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) pavilion. They heard an explanation of a number of SAMI systems and solutions, such as the drone and artificial intelligence-based facility protection system, during the tour. They also heard about the company’s strong capabilities in the areas of aircraft design, development, production, technical support, maintenance, and manufacturing.
