RIYADH: With the goal of revolutionizing the travel industry, Saudia, the flag carrier of the Kingdom, has introduced a beta version of the Travel Companion, an advanced artificial intelligence-powered digital platform.
The new project was unveiled at a special event and is a part of a two-year plan that was created in collaboration with Accenture, a multinational provider of professional services.
Director General of Saudia Group Ibrahim Al-Omar stated, “This platform, the outcome of our continuous collaboration with Accenture, signifies our forward-looking approach to providing guests with unparalleled convenience and flexibility.
The original TC provides individualized and customized solutions to match each user’s preferences and requirements. It does this by delivering search results from reliable and verified sources and integrating visual aids into its answers.
Designed to be a comprehensive, one-stop shop, the interface allows users to schedule activities and attractions, hotels, transportation, and restaurants in addition to concierge services, all without having to navigate between different platforms.
Chief Data and Technology Officer at Saudia, Abdulgader Attiah, remarked of the recent announcement, telling Arab News that it was “like having the VVVIP concierge service at your hand.” The public is no longer eligible for VIP service. This is a free service. It is your personal concierge, available to you at no cost, and it offers all the services that a VVIP service would.
