Faisal bin Fadel Alibrahim, the minister of economy and planning for Saudi Arabia, is in Brazil for the G20 Development Ministerial Meeting. He is having discussions about the state of the global economy with officials from various countries.
As Brazil has the G20 chair, Alibrahim held discussions on the agenda of Foreign Affairs Minister Mauro Vieira while on the margins of the summit, which started on Monday and runs until July 24.
The Saudi Press Agency said on Tuesday that they also talked about ways to improve collaboration across a number of industries, such as infrastructure, agribusiness, and renewable energy.
The minister also discussed regional and worldwide economic trends as well as Saudi Arabia’s involvement with the OECD with Secretary-General Mathias Cormann of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Furthermore, Alibrahim held talks with Mohammed Maliki Osman, Singapore’s Second Minister for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, as well as the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office.
They concentrated on strategies to improve ties in the financial, investment, educational, and industrial domains.
