Saudi Culture on Exhibit at the Hail Festival

RIYADH: The Saudi Press Agency said on Saturday that a heritage festival in Hail is enthralling tourists with a wide variety of handicrafts that combine creativity and historical authenticity. The 30-day event celebrates the accomplishments of regional craftswomen and provides a window into the past by highlighting the commitment to making daily essentials.

Visitors may experience traditional crafts including wickerwork, sadu weaving, crochet, hand-woven fabrics, and the unique Najdi and Hail door manufacturing through more than 40 activities on exhibit.

According to the SPA, traditional attire, Thamudic embroidery, leather and wood beadwork, fibre arts, resin art, and soap production are further attractions. A range of traditional folk cuisines are also available for visitors to enjoy. The Hail Samri and Saudi Ardah are among the acts held in an artistic theatre at the centre of the event.

The event helps local artisans by giving them a stage on which to present their creations to the general audience. In keeping with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, it also honours the Kingdom’s cultural legacy and sense of national identity.
