Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan led the Kingdom’s delegation at the 124th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, held in Kuwait City. During the session the ministers focused and on strategies to further strengthen for economic collaboration among the GCC member states.
Key points on the agenda to included reviewing updates from the Customs Union Authority and assessing how the Customs Union program is progressing for toward fulfilling its objectives. The committee took note of the efforts made to standardize customs procedures and boost trade facilitation across the region.
Additionally, the ministers examined a periodic report on the implementation of the GCC Common Market’s various tracks. The discussion aimed to the monitor achievements address any challenges, and ensure the steady advancement of shared economic goals of among the council’s countries.
The meeting emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to promote regional economic growth improve integration, and achieve the long-term ambitions of the Gulf states reaffirming the members’ commitment to collective prosperity and development.
