According to a Saudi Press Agency report on Friday, Saudi scouts participating in the Third International Muslim Scouts Jamboree in the US have excelled in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Camp Strake near Houston, Texas is hosting a week-long summer camp from June 30 to July 6. A group from the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association is participating. Under the direction of the Boy Scouts of America, the National Islamic Committee on Scouting oversees the organization of the jamboree.
A competition on the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering and the construction of robots utilizing specialized hardware and software, including the autonomous and rational control of a robot’s actions, were among the activities on Thursday.
According to the report, the Saudi scouts demonstrated their abilities in research and innovation in addition to their STEM-related capabilities.
The essential practices for operating motorcycles safely were also taught to the scouts participating in the jamboree. They will participate in leadership scouting activities, learning how to construct wood gates, flagpoles, fences, and bridges, as well as how to correctly tie knots, loops, and ties. They will also build cooking ovens and properly start fires.
