Saudi Troops Participate in The UAE's "Desert Flag" Air Practice

Units participating in the exercise, which will last for several weeks at Al-Dhafra Air Base, include the Royal Saudi Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces. Other participating nations include the United States, France, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Germany, Qatar, Bahrain, and Turkiye. RIYADH: The Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday that Saudi defence troops participated in the “Desert Flag” joint air exercise in the United Arab Emirates with contingents from ten other countries.

The exercise, which will be held at Al-Dhafra Air Base for many weeks, includes troops from the Royal Saudi Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Defence Forces. The United States, France, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Germany, Qatar, Bahrain, and Turkiye are also taking part. According to Lt. Col. Pilot Faisal Al-Marwani, commander of the air force contingent, preparations were made in accordance with authorised safety criteria for military drills.

Al-Marwani went on to say that the Saudi Air Force sent out six F-15C planes with their personnel in order to improve preparedness, fortify international ties, and share military knowledge in actual combat situations. According to him, the exercise consists of a number of air manoeuvres, including combat search and rescue, close air support, and offensive and defensive counter-air operations.
