MUSCAT: According to the Saudi Press Agency, Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Oman, gave Sultan Haitham bin Tariq his credentials at the Al Baraka Palace on Thursday. Sultan Haitham praised the longstanding Saudi-Omani relations and the two countries’ ongoing advancements in a number of areas during their meeting. Along with wishing the Omani people ongoing success, the ambassador also sent the sultan wishes from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Gulf Cooperation Council, which also consists of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, is made up of Saudi Arabia and Oman. According to the Oman News Agency, the ambassador also met with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidy. Bin Bishan previously served as the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ minister plenipotentiary and supervisor of the Yemen operations room.
Sultan Haitham praised the historical Saudi-Omani connections as well as the two countries’ ongoing success in a variety of areas. The envoy also delivered wishes from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the sultan, wishing the Omani people great success.
