Syria Receives Help from the Kingdom in its Fifth Airlift

RIYADH: On Saturday, the sixth airlift relief aircraft, flown by the Saudi humanitarian organization KSrelief, touched down at Syria’s Damascus International Airport. In order to alleviate the harsh circumstances that the Syrian people were facing, the aircraft, which took out from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, brought food, shelter, and medical supplies.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the humanitarian effort demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to helping those in need around the world. In order to support efforts under the new government to reconstruct Syria following years of civil conflict, Saudi Arabia initiated the delivery by air project on January 1st, sending two planes to carry vital aid to the country.

To give the Syrian people immediate help, KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah stated that in the days to come, aid delivered by land would follow that delivered by air. The Kingdom has provided more than $856 million in aid to the Syrian people between 2011 and the end of 2024, according to KSrelief.

Thousands of people are helped by KSrelief’s ongoing humanitarian work in Bangladesh, Yemen, Pakistan, Palestine, and The Gambia. In a single day, KSrelief provided 4,494 shelter kits in Gaza, giving displaced families the necessities including water containers, kitchenware, beds, and blankets during a cold snap.
