RIYADH: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia has inked agreements with the United States totalling over $300 billion. Speaking at the ceremony, Prince Mohammed stated that the Kingdom was considering investment possibilities worth $600 billion, with the aim that this would increase to $1 trillion. He stated that one of the most significant cornerstones of the two nations’ economic relationship was collaborative investments, and that the US was one of the biggest backers of the Saudi Vision 2030 reform drive.
About 40% of the Public Investment Fund’s worldwide investments are made in the US, making it a significant destination, he stated. He said that collaboration with Washington encompassed “establishing peace in the region and the world” in addition to economic cooperation. Speaking at the ceremony, US President Donald Trump also hailed the Saudi Arabian change, attributing it to the leadership of the crown prince and King Salman.
In addition to praising the crown prince as “the greatest representative of his people” and a “very great man like no other,” Trump emphasised the Saudis’ contribution to regional and national development. Trump mentioned that the Kingdom’s non-oil sector revenues had now overtaken those of the oil sector and cited Riyadh’s ascent as a major international commercial hub. He asserted that Saudi Arabia should be commended for upholding its traditions and culture while also embracing its progressive, contemporary Vision 2030 reform goal.
