The NEOM-Arar Route, King Salman Airport, and The SILZ Strategy are Reviewed by the Saudi Logistics Council

On Tuesday, the 27th meeting of the Logistics Partnership Council with the private sector, which is a component of the Logistics Services Committee under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), was held at the Riyadh Integrated Special Logistics Zone (SILZ Company) headquarters.

Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and representatives from the public and private sectors attended the meeting, which was presided over by Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih, Vice Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Acting President of the General Transport Authority.

In order to improve the Kingdom’s integrated logistics sector’s efficiency and attractiveness to investors, the council deliberated on several important issues.

The strategic directions of Riyadh Integrated under SILZ Company, updates on King Salman International Airport and its function in facilitating international logistics flows, and efforts to enhance the investment experience in the warehouse industry were some of the topics discussed.

The impact of connecting weighing equipment with the national truck-tracking system and ways to improve the investor experience were also discussed at the meeting. Members also went over the results of the logistical corridor that connects NEOM Port to the border crossing at Jadidat Arar, emphasizing how it improves trade connectivity and makes it easier to transfer goods.
