The results of the second Saudi-French Ministerial Committee meeting were reviewed by the cabinet on Tuesday, with an emphasis on strengthening economic, cultural, and tourism relations, especially between AlUla and Paris. The Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council’s advancement in strengthening collaboration on security and economic issues was also commended by the cabinet.
King Salman presided over the meeting in Riyadh, which covered important regional and international events. Citing threats to regional stability and peace efforts, the Cabinet denounced Israeli plans to increase West Bank settlements and attacks against civilians in Palestine.
On the home front, the council praised King Salman’s backing of the Riyadh Economic Forum and the accomplishments of “Cityscape Global 2024,” which saw over 172,000 visitors and transactions totaling over 230 billion riyals.
Reiterating vows to address global health issues, the cabinet praised the “Jeddah Declaration” made at the Fourth Global Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance. It also mentioned the Saudi Green Initiative Forum preparations in December, which have already produced noteworthy results in the areas of wildlife relocation, tree planting, and renewable energy.
