RIYADH: The 19th edition of the UN Internet Governance Forum closed on Thursday at Riyadh’s King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre. The forum’s organizers stated that the global event centered on internet governance rules and developing digital concerns. It had the greatest attendance in the forum’s history, with more than 11,000 participants. The meeting also saw the introduction of the Riyadh Declaration, a statement aimed at enhancing international collaboration in artificial intelligence and digital technologies to benefit humanity.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the event featured professionals and specialists in internet technology and policy from 170 countries, with more than 1,000 international speakers participating in over 300 seminars and workshops. It focused on four primary topics: innovation and risk in the digital world, development and sustainability, human rights and inclusivity, and enhancing internet governance, according to the SPA. Experts from 170 nations participated in the Riyadh Declaration launch event, which aimed to fortify global collaborations in AI.
