Why Beautyworld Riyadh Has Been Postponed Until 2027

DUBAI: Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia has announced that Beautyworld Riyadh, the premier beauty show in Saudi Arabia, has been rescheduled for 2027. Originally, the event was scheduled for May 18–20 of this year.

The new dates are meant to “preserve the international scale of the exhibition, ensure high-quality participation and maintain strong commercial value, while prioritizing the safety, wellbeing, and trust of exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and staff,” according to a statement. The action coincides with a broader wave of postponements impacting significant economic and cultural events around the Middle East.

The Design Doha Biennial in Qatar has been rescheduled for November 5–7. Exhibitions will still be on display until New Year’s Eve. Originally scheduled to take place from April 16 to June 30, the event was organized by Qatar Museums and Design Doha. It was first introduced in 2024 and includes publications, coaching programs, exhibitions, commissions, jury awards, and special events.

The 12th Saudi Film Festival in Saudi Arabia has also been rescheduled; it will now take place from June 25 to July 1 rather than April 23–29. It will once more take place at Ithra’s headquarters in Dhahran and is organized by the Cinema Association in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) with sponsorship from the Saudi Film Commission.
