Yemen Military Claims 780 Attacks on Houthis in 24 Hours

ADEN: Yemeni government forces carried out 780 attacks on Houthi targets in 24 hours, “neutralizing” over 500 militia fighters in an operation across numerous fronts, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday.

“Troops continue to push back Houthi fighters on northern, southern and western fronts including in Al-Jawf, areas west of Marib and in Al-Bayda as part of Operation Dawn of Yemen,” said Col. Majed Al-Nuzaili, a spokesperson, in a message posted on social media site X.

The strikes targeted Houthi field leaders, concentrations of troops, reinforcements, installations of heavy weaponry and fortified sites and vehicles used to transport fighters and supplies, he said. Al-Nuzaili claimed the attacks had broken up Houthi forces and stopped them replenishing frontline positions, allowing government soldiers to press their offensive.

He said around 512 Houthi soldiers and leaders were “neutralized” and over 330 military vehicles and carriers were destroyed or made inoperable, along with heavy weapons and reinforcements heading to the front lines in Taiz. Government forces would continue to hit Houthi military capabilities and troop buildups to prevent the group from replacing its casualties or taking the initiative, Al-Nuzaili added.
